A laptop covered in stickers says a lot about the person who owns it. Whether you want one statement sticker or a full collage, here's how to build a laptop sticker collection that looks great and holds up in your backpack.
Pick a theme (or don't)
Some of the best laptop lids tell a story. A few ideas:
- Movies and TV: Yellowstone, The Walking Dead, Beetlejuice and Top Gun. See Movies & TV.
- Funny and quotes: Bad Choices Make Good Stories, If It Doesn't Challenge You It Doesn't Change You. See Funny & Quotes.
- Crypto: Bitcoin Scrooge McDuck and In Crypto We Trust.
- Cute animals: Royal Frog, Pink Pig and more in Animals.
Or skip the theme and mix everything you love. That works too.
Mix your sizes
- Start with one 4" sticker as the centerpiece.
- Fill in around it with 3" stickers.
- Most laptops fit 5 to 8 stickers comfortably, and a large laptop fits more.
See our sticker size guide for more help.
Plan your layout first
- Lay the stickers out on the lid with their backing still on and move them around until you like it.
- Take a photo so you remember the layout.
- Clean the lid with a little rubbing alcohol on a cloth (laptop off), and let it dry.
- Apply one sticker at a time, from the center out, and press the edges down firmly.
Here's our full guide on how to apply a sticker without bubbles.
A few smart tips
- Keep vents and ports clear. Stickers belong on the lid, not over air vents or the bottom panel.
- Work laptop? Check your company's policy, or put your stickers on a laptop case or sleeve instead.
- Want to change it up later? Laminated vinyl peels off cleanly. Here's how to remove a sticker without residue.
